Adhesive splice connectors for accurate SMT carrier tape alignment

Splice tape connectors are designed to join SMT carrier tapes with a strong, self-adhesive bond, maintaining precise alignment for uninterrupted component feeding. By ensuring accurate tape continuity, they help reduce feeder misfeeds and minimise downtime on high-speed SMT production lines.

Available in 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm, 32mm, 44mm, and 56mm widths, these connectors are compatible with all SMT pick and place feeders. Their versatility makes them suitable for a wide range of carrier tape materials, including paper, polystyrene, and polycarbonate.

For easy identification during production, splice tape connectors are colour-coded in yellow, red, and blue. They can be purchased loose or on a reel, providing flexible options depending on your workflow and storage needs. For added durability, connectors can be used with brass shims to reinforce the splice – use these with a manual splice tool  or semi-automatic splice tools.
